Dr. Ji-An Pan received his B.S. and Ph.D. degree from Wuhan University, China. His Ph.D. study was mainly involved in characterizing viral transcription/replication mechanism. Since 2008, Dr. Ji-An Pan has been working at Stony Brook University, and now he is an assistant professor of research at the department of Molecular Genetics & Microbiology, School of Medicine of Stony Brook University. He has been a reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals, such as Journal of Visualized Experiments, International Journal of Medical Sciences, Cancer Biology & Therapy, and Molecular and cellular biochemistry. He is also a guest editor for the Journal of Biomedicine and Biotechnology. Now his research focuses on signal transduction and cell biology, with specific topics related to cancer cell death.
