She graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Medical School in 1988. She was resident in internal medicine from 1989-1990, general practitioner from 1990-1991, resident in Dermatology in the Department of Dermatology, Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester, UK, from January 1992-August1993 and the Department of Dermatology, Aristotle University Medical School, Thessaloniki, Greece from August 1993-July 1995. In September 1995 she received the official license to practice dermatology. In 2002 she received her PhD title on “Rosacea. Clinical and laboratory study”.
From 1996-2006 and 2006-2010 she has been Research Fellow and Lecturer in Dermatology, respectively, in the First Department of Dermatology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2010 she has been Assistant Professor of Dermatology-Venereology in the same Department.
Her special interests are dermoscopy, rosacea, psoriasis and contact dermatitis. She is a member of several medical societies including the European Academy of Dermatology-Venereology and the American Academy of Dermatology.
She has been author or coauthor in more than 40 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals and 200 free communications, posters or presentations in symposia. Her published work has 165 citations and an h-index of 9.
