Yuriy G. Shckorbatov Doctor of Science (Cell Biology, 2005) was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine in 1955, graduated from Kharkiv State University in 1978. Head of the Department of Genetics (Institute of Biology of Kharkiv National University), Professor of Departments of Kharkiv National University: Molecular Biology and Biotechnology; Physical and Biomedical Electronics and Complex Information Systems; Ecological Safety and Ecological Education of. Author of more than 250 scientific works. Scientific interests: 1) Investigation of the effects of physical factors (microwave radiation and magnetic field) and also hormones and other biologically active substances on the state of chromatin in cell nucleus. 2) Investigation of the effects of sport trainings, circadian rhythm and age-related changes in organism on the state of chromatin in human cell nuclei. 3) Investigation of the connection of DNA strands interaction energy in coding and non-coding sequences in bacterial and eukaryotic genome with gene activity.
