Somayeh Shahrokhi graduated from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran in 2010 with her PhD in immunology. She is currently work as assistant professor of immunology at Lorestan university of medical sciences, Iran. During the course of her PhD, she was selected to attend University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia for training course as her PhD part. Her PhD thesis has shed light on the role of two neuropeptides in cord blood expansion which resulted in publication of ISI articles and book chapter in high ranking publications. Also, she was selected as prestigious student researcher in an important local festival for her PhD thesis and resume. Her expertise and interest in hematopoetic stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells is obvious from her published articles and collaboration with experts in the field. Currently, she is running several basic research projects on mesenchymal stem cells.
