Dr. Eleonore Fröhlich holds a Medical degree and a Diploma in Biochemistry from the Universities Tübingen and Heidelberg, Germany. She worked as physician,
specialized in Histology & Embryology and Anatomy and has expertise in drug development. Since 2007, she is Director of the Core Facility Microscopy at the Center
for Medical Research at the Medical University of Graz, Austria in addition to being adjunct professor at the University of Tübingen. Her research activities spanned
several topics, starting with studies on the retina and retinal pigment epithelium and the role of proteases in skin cancer and continuing with work on differentiation
therapy in thyroid cancer and biological and toxicological evaluation of nanoparticles. Eleonore Fröhlich authored and co-authored more than 70 publications
(research and review articles, book chapters, and patents). She is Editorial Board Member of four journals and reviewer for 29 journals and grant agencies.
